Runanga Ngai Tamawhariua

Runanga Ngai Tamawhariua was established in 1991.  Its first contract was a ground breaker. The Runanga secured the first Maori Mental Health Joint venture contract with the then ‘Western Health Board’. Today they offer a wide range of services to a wide range of clientele:

Pirirakau Hauora

Pirirakau Hauora was established in 1996 and is a hapu based hauora. With 16 staff on board the team always has its finger on the button, when it comes to the community
Over the past 13 years they have grown to offer a wide range of services including a successful youth program in its 12th year with over 65 members.

Te Manu Toroa is one of the founding members of Nga Mataapuna Oranga PHO.
Established in 1997, Te Manu Toroa has 3 clinics:

  • Waitaha Health Centre, based in Te Puke
  • Tauranga Moana City Clinic, 95 16th Ave, Tauranga Central
  • Te Akau Hauora, 96 Hartford Ave, Papamoa

Maketu Health and Social Services was established in 1996. Maketu Health and Social Services currently provide a mix of mental and physical health services and are looking towards the development of their social services. Over half of the services are directed towards children and rangatahi. Services include:
