What is a PHO?
PHO stands for Primary Health Organisation.
A non-profit organisation funded by Government providing low cost doctors consultations and packages of care to its enrolled population.
What is a Kaupapa Maori PHO?
The majority of our enrolled population is Maori. We practice Maori values and philosophy of Te Reo, Rangatiratanga, Whakapapa and Whanaungatanga. We practice Maori governance and management. Maori know Maori best, and are the most qualified to identify our needs and make sure these need are being met. We are all about improving the health and well being of Maori people. By Maori for Maori but not exclusive to Maori.
What benefit is it to my whanau?
Fairer pricing for all the whanau, whanau friendly environment and services which cater specifically to the needs of the whanau.
Why should I enrol?
Your enrolment ensures you are charged the cheapest rates. It costs more to attend our clinics as a casual.
How much do I pay?
Enrolled clients will pay no more than $15 per normal doctors consultation
Who can enrol?
Anyone.
How do I enrol?
Enrolments can be made by contacting any of our clinics as listed on the contacts page, or by visiting one of our clinics.
What happens to my information?
All information is confidential. You can access your information and medical records on request, and your information will not be used without your consent. |
